Leeds Disability Tennis Coaching

A Leeds disability tennis coaching course recently became the first such course in the country to receive the prestigious ‘Inspired by London 2012’ mark for excellence and innovation.

The course, run by Leeds City Council at the John Charles Centre for Sport, is the second disability project in Yorkshire to be awarded the honour. It runs every Friday during term time, 5:30-6:30pm and is for young people aged 11-19 with any impairment. Those taking part play and pick up new skills from a team of Lawn Tennis Association coaches. Specially-adapted tennis wheelchairs are available.

Sessions cost just £2.60. For further information contact Ross Bibby on 0113 395 0159 or email ross.bibby@leeds.gov.uk
