Young, fresh and undiscovered performers from across the country are invited to audition for Loserville, a new British musical, on Saturday 28th January at West Yorkshire Playhouse, and on Monday 6th February in London.
Written by Elliot Davis and James Bourne (former member of pop-rock bands Busted and Son of Dork), these open auditions are being held to find talented actors, singers and dancers with a playing age of 17 – 19 to fill principal roles for this original musical.
All performers must be available from 14th May – 14th July for all rehearsals and performances. To audition performers must be at least 16 on the day of the auditions and all auditions must be booked in advance.
This is a fabulous opportunity to work as part of a professional cast on an innovative project by a team of internationally recognised artists. Musician and songwriter James Bourne has written four number one hit songs and played to sold-out arenas across the UK. As an artist and songwriter it is estimated James has sold over six million records. Elliot Davis’ musical Best Friend & Butterflies won the TicketMaster Composer Award and Best Musical for Young People. Once Upon a Time at The Adelphi, for which he co-wrote the music, won the TMA Award for outstanding musical. He has written documentaries for the BBC on music stars from the Bee Gees to Freddie Mercury. And, Steven Dexter directs both in the UK and internationally.
Loserville opens at West Yorkshire Playhouse 16th June – 14th July and is a co-production between West Yorkshire Playhouse, Kevin Wallace for First Act! Limited and Youth Music Theatre UK.
