Local Film Maker Directs Information Film for OC Support

Vicki and Oliver

Award winning filmmaker Vicki Psarias put her directing skills to good use recently when she made an information film about the pregnancy liver condition Obstetric Cholestasis (OC) for the charity OC Support.

Obstetric Cholestasis affects 1 in 140 pregnant women in the UK and its main symptom is itching. Vicki suffered from the condition in her first pregnancy with Oliver (now two) and pitched making a film to the charity to help raise awareness of this condition which poses a small threat of stillbirth. A simple diagnostic blood test can reveal the condition and with management the risks are the same as any normal pregnancy.
