Tea and Tolerance to Launch Conversational Tool Kit

Calling all 21st Century Humans:  Tea and Tolerance are testing a brand new tool kit for conversation on 21st October 12 – 5pm at the Corn Exchange.

The Tool kit is essentially a play kit/game to help facilitate discussions in a fun and engaging way. What makes for a great conversation? Sample some of the toolkit ideas to find out.

The Tea and Tolerance project is designed to bring people together through conversation and the arts. The aim is to slow down, listen and share time together over tea. It is about exploring the possibilities of friendship and connection between people.

Over the past year the Tea and Tolerance team has been working with community groups and artists in Leeds to develop a resource based on the Tea and Tolerance format that can be used by anyone as a catalyst for conversation and connection.

Activities at the event include:

Creative conversations – playkit games – design your own play board – badge making – design your own teapot – massage from Phoenix Health – tea & cake –  tea leaf readings with Miss Fortune – and add your hopes and dreams to the wishing line.

The Tea and Tolerance team will be trying out the conversation playkit over the afternoon and asking people to help design the final version. The event will culminate with a group discussion at the end of the day.  Join them for a day of conversation and exploration. It is a free, family friendly event.
