On the Edge Festival at Templeworks

A fresh addition to the Leeds cultural landscape, On the Edge aims to bring both new performers and audiences to Leeds; to highlight the talent in its varying communities; to fly the flag for the arts and to celebrate the city.

According to the organisers, this is not just another festival “but an event that encourages all the communities of Leeds to join together in lighting the wick for an explosion of art and cultural fireworks!”

On the Edge @ Temple Works is a taste of things to come and will feature:

v  A visual art exhibition from What is Art

v  Theatre performances from The Skeleton Project, Urban Sprawl, Pout, Broken Ground, Adam Lowe and much more.

v  An Art Market, Curry by Harvi, several bars, and light refreshments.

PLUS! Live music from amazing bands like Madame Laycock and her Dabeno Pleasures, LeeSun, Raw Peaches, The Finnlys, Rabbit Gold, Bisley, Ben Marron Collinson twin; as well as a troupe of belly dancers, performance poetry, and comic illustration.

The Line Up!

Friday 15th July, 6 –11pm: Gallery Press Launch/ wine & cheese soiree with live acoustic acts.

Saturday 16th July, 1pm ‘til late: Theatre performances, live music and gallery

Sunday 17th July, 1pm ‘til late: Theatre performances, live music, gallery and dance, plus official On the Edge Launch Party.

Temple Works is situated on Marshall St, off Water Lane, Holbeck, LS11. It is currently a working building site, so children under 14 (even accompanied by an adult) and animals are not allowed on site…sorry!
